Meet Our New Director of Sales, David Arnold

Last month Infratech welcomed a new Director of Sales, David Arnold, to our headquarters in Southern California. Over the past year we have worked side-by-side with David on a consulting basis to implement customer surveys, create instructional materials, formulate strategies for training our customer segments and to refine our company values and train our staff accordingly.

David’s work history included stints with some of the world’s largest and most well-known organizations, including the US Army, the Department of Labor, Ingram Micro, Potlatch Corporation, Fieldstone Communities and International Paper. We are pleased to bring David into the Infratech family, where he will coordinate our marketing efforts, along with planning trade shows, strategizing customer segmentation, expanding our distribution and market awareness, and working with our loyal existing customer base. Recently we sat down with David to discuss his vision for Infratech in the new year and to learn more about what he brings to the table both personally and professionally.

As Director of Sales, what is your vision for Infratech?

For decades Infratech has grown because of product innovation, listening to the market demands and excelling at customer service. My experience tells me if we keep true to these three core values we will continue to expand not just our sales, but our market share. I also feel that there is a great opportunity to help the design community and ultimately end users to discover the advantages of quartz electric patio heating and Infratech’s product offering. We separate ourselves from the competition by our many sizes, styles and wattages, colors and custom controls to provide perfect heat for most any outdoor space and style. The common vision of everyone here at Infratech is to become the first choice in heating solutions and be top of mind when considering building or improving outdoor living space.  Infratech will be the name in electric heating because of design, innovation, control ability and most of all our unwavering commitment to the customer. The outdoor living space is evolving from simple concrete slabs to elaborate outdoor rooms with seating, televisions, bars and more. Infratech is the leader in providing heating solutions for these spaces. I firmly believe before long when people think of patio heaters they will think Infratech.

What do you enjoy most about your new position and/or Infratech so far?

For the last year I worked “with” Infratech as a consultant; developing training programs, assessing the market and working with the employees. In that time I have seen Infratech’s commitment to innovation, servicing the customer and listening to the market. I am very excited to be a part of this extraordinary team.  From the top leadership to the support staff and the plant associates, I am impressed with the level of employee engagement and commitment to the company. Everyday I come to work looking forward to working with this team and being a part of its future.

How do you spend your free time? Do you have any hobbies or interests?

My passions outside of work revolve around my family, skiing and tennis. Our family adopted a young man from Zimbabwe in 2007. We met Tapiwa (Taps) there while helping to distribute mosquito nets, providing seed for agriculture and working with hospitals in this country that was declared by Time magazine as the country with the worst economy in the world. Our entire family has adopted the orphanage Taps grew up in. That keeps us very busy and very hopeful for these children who have been forgotten.

What’s up next for you and the company in 2015?

2015 will be a very exciting year for Infratech. We are planning to launch new designs, marketing tools and strategies which will catapult us forward. We have such great momentum and goodwill amongst our distribution channels and [we are] gaining [so much] in popularity with homeowners, builders and designers that I believe 2015 will be a year to remember.
